50k Mixtape

A mixtape I made as a small thankyou to the facebook crew when I hit 50k follower on facebook.com/djkutski. This mix was recorded live and unplanned whilst being streamed on Ustream, so the tracklist is 50% stuff I wanted to play and 50% requests from the chat on Ustream. Thanks to everyone who is a fan on my FaceBook page, and if you're not, join now and I'll have an excuse to do another one of these soon :)
Trap Sessions

Love it or hate it, "trap music" has made a big impact on the EDM scene over the last 6 months. Personally I love it. I'm a massive fan of the early hip hop sound with 808 drums, and obviously I love my hardstyle, so a fusion of these two seemingly worlds-apart genres was always going to catch my attention. This is a mixtape I made of my favourite trap music to date, featuring some tracks you may well recognise even if you've never even heard of trap!
Recommended play with excessive bass, not for consumption by narrow minded purists ;)

Something fresh and different to kick off 2013. This is an experimental mix I put together to showcase some of the cutting edge styles of EDM that take heavy influance from the hardstyle scene, without actually being hardstyle! So expect everything from house with big bass kick, to glitchy tech trance, to trap with hardstyle screeches!!

So after 10+ years DJ'ing, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and put on my own event! It was held in a small underground venue in Leeds to try and recreate the atmosphere of the original raves of the early 90's! It's kinda crazy to think our scene is around a quater of a century old now, so I thought it would be fun to put together a mix joining the dots from the roots of the raves scene in 1988 to where we are today in a single 60 minute mix! Obviously it would be impossible to make a definitive mix this way, so this is my own personly journey through the years! Enjoy!!
